Objective
After a completed study unit the student
 - is familiar with the principles of software and logic design for automation and logic systems
 - can design the structure of an automation/logic system for controlling a simple machine, and the necessary auxiliary systems
 - understands the operational principle and the requirements for the control techniques of different kinds of electromotor and servo drives and position and speed detectors
 - can design and dimension a control circuit associated with positioning and select the relevant components
 - can analyse and tune the operation of a measurement and control circuit as well as simulate it by means of a software tool.
