Objective
Students will
 - Learn to use their theoretical knowledge in planning, providing and evaluating intravenous pharmacotherapy
 - Master aseptic techniques in intravenous pharmacotherapy
 - Learn to perform peripheral venous cannulation and initiate intravenous fluid therapy
 - Learn to prepare intravenous drugs for use
 - Learn to calculate the dosage of intravenous drugs as prescribed by the physician
 - Learn to observe patients and evaluate the effects and effectiveness of intravenous pharmacotherapy
 - Learn to use the main instruments and equipment for pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy
 - Learn to handle, maintain and monitor the central venous catheter
 - Know how to adhere to the principles of patient and occupational safety
 - Know the role of nurses in the performance of blood transfusion
