Objective

Student knows typical construction types, building technigues and materials of different ages and also the mechanisms of damage and reparation. He is available to make a condition assessment.

Content

In the course you get familiar to the differences between refurbishment and building a new one considering for example dust- and moisture problems. We focus to the age distribution of real estate and to the typical risk structures. Most common refurbishment projects like façade renovation and pipe repair are studied.
