Objective
Opinnäytetyön tehtyään opiskelija osaa:
- kehittää itsenäisestä työelämän edellyttämiä tietoja ja taitoja
- tuntee länsimaisen taidemusiikin tärkeimmät tyylit ja esitys- ja opetuskäytännöt sekä soveltaa niitä luomalla ja esittämällä oman taiteellisen tulkintansa ja pedagogisen näkemyksensä musiikista opintojen aikana hankkimiensa taitojen avulla
- hallita instrumenttinsa/pääaineensa tekniset ja taiteelliset/pedagogiset ominaispiirteet
- kykenee laatimaan ja toteuttamaan taiteellisen/pedagogisen kokonaisuuden instrumentti-/pääainekohtaisten vaatimusten pohjalta
Content
Opinnäytetyö on näyte opiskelijan osaamisesta ja ammatillisesta kasvusta sekä ammattitaidosta opintojen loppuvaiheessa.
Opinnäytetyö on itsenäinen ja vastuullinen prosessi, joka toimii siltana opintojen ja työelämän välillä. Opinnäytetyön tekemistä edeltää kolmanteen opiskeluvuoteen sijoittuva opintojakso Menetelmä- ja kehittämisopinnot (5 op). Opinnäytetyö koostuu seuraavista osioista:
pääinstrumentti, tason B suoritus
opetusnäyte/työnhakusimulaatio
taiteellinen/pedagoginen projekti pedagoginen tutkimuksellinen osio/ kirjallinen osio
Opinnäytetyö on osa pedagogisia opintoja sekä osa Turun Ammattikorkeakoulun tutkimus- ja kehitystoimintaa. Opinnäytetyö voi olla myös osa palvelutoimintaa ja se voidaan erityistapauksissa suorittaa myös kv-vaihto-opintoina.

1. Knowledge and skills in your field and the ability to understand and evaluate them
• Holistic thinking
• Methods
The thesis has been selected (working) methods that are partially appropriate for the task and objectives.
The results of the thesis correspond but only partly to a degree (development) to the task and the underlying need.
The thesis has made use of sources of information relevant to the research and/or development mission, knowledge bases and concepts in its field although narrowly.
In the thesis there have used and labelled sources of information, but has flaws.
2. Knowledge in research and development
Working process:

The subject, research and/or development mission and/or question have been raised although there are shortcomings in the presentation.
A plan of action has been presented at the preparatory stage.
The implementation of the thesis is responsible only for the most important defined goals and/or development tasks and/or questions.
A considerable amount of guidance and/or guidance and/or other feedback has not been appropriately utilized in the working process.

The task and/or question defined in the thesis have a connection to the competence of its author/authors, and the work supports the development of its author/authors in at least some respects although the affiliation could be clearer.

In the thesis there has been acted dialogical in interaction situations, listened to others, forward-looking questions and justified their own views although there are shortcomings in action.
The thesis has acquired and utilized expert advice only at the most essential stages of the development process.
Communication in the thesis while speaking and writing at different stages is planned, but the plan is scarce or incomplete.
The development project/thesis and its results have been reported and informed by speaking and writing in instructed ways though scarce and/or incomplete.
