Content

The course introduces students to the characteristics of media and ways of working. The key is to understand the role of media as part of society, culture and art. The course explores the history of the media industry and discusses various media products from the perspective of the public and the user.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is graded in the scale 1-7/dismissed
The first three assignments are graded in the scale 1-7/dismissed and the average is the calculated. All the assignments have to be completed.
The criteria for the assessment are:
The diversity in the use of source materials
The ability to formulate arguments
The demonstrated understanding of media environments
The demonstrated skills in analytica, systematical and critical thingking
