Objective

The participants are able to describe the specific features of bioprocesses and related apparatus, equipment and techniques. The participants are able to describe versatilely industrially and from the viewpoint of sustainable development imporntant products and manufacturing processes. The participants are able to describe the most important analytical methods used in biomaterials characterization, genetic engineering, diagnostics and bioprocesses.

Theoretical part:
Lectures, presentations, assignments and self-studying

Laboratory experiments:
laboratory works (3 weeks, 8 h / week)

The course consists of 3 parts: 1. Upstream Processing (Theory 1.5 cr), 2. Downstream Processing (Theory 1.5 cr), and Laboratory works (2 cr)
