Objective

After completing the course the student is able to: explain the main characteristics of databases act as a member in a database development team design database tables and their relationships design user interfaces, and reports that meet the informational needs of the end-user implement a simple database application.

MPORTANT: Enrollment to the course and exams is done via the Optima workspace (not using PEPPI). If you have not enrolled to the exam via Optima strictly following the instructions, you will not be allowed to participate in the exam. The exam dates are published in the Optima, too.

Content scheduling

This course is implemented as an MTA Certification Exam 98-364: Database Fundamentals. The certificate content covers the learning objectives of this course (Databases, 5 cr).
The learning objectives shall be met by independent or group study utilizing the available electronic learning materials. There is no contact teaching connected to this exam.

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment will be based on international standardized certification exam. The course will be assessed using scale 0 - 5. Grading will be based on the following scale:
Grade 3: 70-79 exam final points
Grade 4: 80-89 pts
Grade 5: 90-100 pts
