Objective

After completing the course the student: understands the special features of Radio Frequency equipment and circuits understands the basic design principals of RF functional blocks understands the basic RF phenomenons in circuit design and CAD.

Content

30-3000 MHz signal characteristics and propagation operational principles of transmitter and receiver equipment in RF applications operational principles of the main functional blocks in equipment and systems design RF model of components, quality factor, grounding using capacitors, inductors and chokes, basic low and high pass filters, resonant circuits impedance matching, Smiths chart, basic matching circuits, CAD simulations amplifier design using scattering parameters
