Objective

Nursing in Basic Health Care 8 cr PETHA
Objectives
- Students will gain proficiency in planning, providing and evaluating customer-centred care and guidance at public and private health centres and in various projects.
- Students will learn to help and support people dealing with acute and long-term health changes and will become aware of their own resources and limits of competence.
- Students will learn to plan and provide guidance related to the promotion of health.
- Students will create a good nurse-patient relationship in various work environments.
- Students will learn to work in multiprofessional work groups.
- Students will commit themselves to entrepreneurial activities in various operating environments.
- Students will learn to apply evidence-based information and use it to perform and develop nursing.
- Students will deepen their pharmacotherapy competence in different fields of nursing (medication passport).

Contents
- Key nursing activities depending on the learning environment and the needs of the patients/customers
- Clinical examination performed on a real patient/customer
- The fundamentals of empowering patient guidance with patients/customers and their family members
- Provision of evidence-based nursing and guidance
- Structure of the social and health service system, service guidance with customers/patients and their family members
- More profound skills in pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy
