Objective

BACHELOR’S THESIS 15 CR

- Students will
- Learn to identify the key development needs in their professional duties and solutions to them
- Learn to work independently and (critically) assess and use research information in their field
- Learn to adhere to the principles of research ethics
- Learn to handle cooperation partnerships responsibly
- Develop and demonstrate their ability to apply their knowledge and competence in practical expert assignments related to their professional studies
- Learn to use supervision to advance their Bachelor’s thesis
- Learn to present their progress as well as to give and receive feedback
- Demonstrate their familiarity with the field of their thesis as well as their language skills
- Learn to perform and document their work and to communicate the results

Content

Bachelor’s Thesis Reporting and Maturity Test 8 cr
- Supervised thesis work
- Presenting and defending the thesis and serving as an opponent to another student’s work as agreed
- Maturity test
- Publication of the thesis

Materials

Research methodology literature and bachelor's thesis related materials are used during the course.
Evidence based, nursing subject related, materials of the chosen topic are used.

Supervision,independent work, bachelor's thesis implementation and writing, seminars 162 h (6 ECTS)

The thesis is compeleted Friday 31.3.2022 at 16 o'clock
The raporting seminars on the week 15: 11.4.2022, 12.4.2022, 13.4.2022
The Bachelor's thesis Fair in May 17th ????

Evaluation scale

H-5

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in the seminars and the bachelor's thesis fair. (100%, absence from the seminars has to be compensated in the way discussed with the teacher).
Accepted work as an opponent and accepted bachelor's thesis report (scale; T1 - K5)
The thesis will be assessed according to the TUAS evaluation criterias of bachelor's thesis.
If the thesis has been written in a group of students, each of the participant's work should be possible to assess. All bachelor's theses will be checked with the plagiarism recognition programme URKUND:
Maturity test will be assessed as accepted/ failed. In order to get the grades, the maturity test has to be accepted.
