Objective

Objectives

•Students will learn to use electronic service systems in the assessment of a patient’s condition and administration of treatment
•Students will learn to assess customers’ need for and urgency of treatment in acute care and reception work and will be able to make independent decisions.
•Students will learn to cooperate with customers and their social networks and other people involved.
•Students will be able to carry out the clinical examinations and treatment measures belonging to the job description of nurses and draw the necessary conclusions.
•Students will learn to provide customers with personalised guidance and support for self-care and health promotion.
•Students will become familiar with the safety risks of accident and emergency units and know how to ensure the safety of their work.
•Students will know the principles of documentation, reporting and VIRVE communication.
•Students will develop their ability to administer pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy to patients.
•Students will know the principles of casting and splinting.
•Students will learn to examine patients with multiple injuries, understand how care is administered in a trauma team, and become familiar with the main features of examinations and medical care regarding patients with non-mechanical injuries.
•Students will know the special fields and features of acute medicine and the treatment methods used.
•Students will deepen their understanding of hospital operations complying with the principles of CRM.
