Objective

Specialisation in Emergency Care and Nursing 1 (Anaesthetic Nursing) 5 cr EHERI 1Students willKnow how to determine the patient’s need for anaesthetic nursing, to plan and administer care and evaluate its effectivenessGain the competence to perform anaesthetic nursing in hospitalsLearn about the airway management of patients (bag valve mask ventilation, supraglottic devices, intubation)Learn about the controlled ventilation of patients, the settings of respirators and the monitoring and interpretation of parametersDeepen their skills in monitoring vital signs and maintaining them during anaesthesia, as well as in reacting to changes in the patient’s conditionLearn to interact with, help and provide guidance to patients of different ages during treatmentLearn to apply information from nursing science and other related sciences and use it to perform and develop nursing.Develop their pharmacotherapy competence related to anaesthetic work (medication passport and drug dosage, effects, indications, contraindications, side and adverse effects and preparations for them, observation during pharmacotherapy)Students will learn to document and report on the treatment of patients during the anaesthetic treatment process.Students will be introduced to the postoperative care of patients in the recovery room.Students will learn about nursing methods, the nurse-patient relationship and the work-pair approach as ways to support professional development.Students will learn to analyse how their own values and attitudes influence their interaction with patients of different ages and their professional interaction.
