Assessment methods and criteria

Tasks (written and simulations)
Working process and its management (scanning, design, milling)
Activity

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

Student has not done any scanning or design practice.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

-worksheet has been created
-minimum number of scans has done
-poor scan quality
-design done minimally

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

-active presence and interest can be found
-worksheet, intraoral and laboratory scans, and various CAD design work done with the idea
-designs provide the legalities that guide the design of an individual dental device and the solutions that are essential for its functionality
-some of the planned works has been milled (unless there are surprising obstacles beyond the student's control)
-student works towards a quality outcome
-appreciates his co-workers, equipment, materials and Lean principles in his work

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Commendable student
-works in an innovative way
-is positively self-initiated
-active
-worksheet, intraoral and laboratory scans as well as various CAD design work have been done with an idea
-designs that guide the design of an individual dental device and the solutions that are essential for its functionality are justified in the design
-some of the planned work has been milled (unless there are surprising obstacles beyond the student's control) and the quality of the work is excellent
-the student works towards a high-quality, finished outcome
-appreciates his co-workers, equipment, materials and Lean principles in his work
