Objective

After completing the course the student can
- describe the industry of interest
- identify and learn different ways to approach companies
- find own development areas and develop professional competencies

The course starts week 6 with intro to course in Optima and submission of individual pre-assignment. The course ends week 18?

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment is based on the completion of the given tasks, attendance and active participation.
All the given assignments need to be completed to be able to pass the course.
The course includes assignments which will not be graded separately, but will be taken into account in the final grade.

Company visit planning and execution 40%
Company data collection 20%
Final report and publication 30%
Learning diary 10%
One’s activity (participation in classes, sharing own ideas to others) may raise the grade in borderline cases.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student understands the goal of the course and participates. The student returns assignments, attends group meetings, and applies basic command of material required to perform the tasks. The assignment doesn’t cover all the required aspects.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student participates, returns assignments on due time, actively supports others, and create knowledge in-group meetings. The student can describe the challenges and benefits of working in and leading intercultural teams. She/he applies very well the knowledge acquired to perform the tasks. The student assimilates new knowledge and shows an understanding of how to adapt it to practice in a diverse professional context. She/he can explain the business practices of the company.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student co-creates learning material and action plans to perform the tasks and return the assignments on due time. Student can analyze own and peer competences to improve innovation knowledge and create authentic action. The student is fully capable of working in an international team and learn from the challenges in a foreign working environment. She/he assimilates the benefits of interaction and networking with companies and applies the concepts learned in her/his career plan.
