Objective

After completing the study module, the students will be able to:

- identify and analyse the key themes, development challenges and values in the field of creative wellbeing

- structure and understand the concept of creative wellbeing at an advanced level: creative wellbeing as a phenomenon, as a field, as wellbeing lived and experienced

- recognises the personal relationship to arts and culture at the heart of creative well-being as the basis for the cultural needs of individuals and communities and enables these needs to be heard in a person-centred and customer-oriented way.

- in multiprofessional cooperation, recognise their own and other professionals' core competences, see common goals and opportunities for cooperation

- develop new ways of working and forms of cooperation in a multidisciplinary way

- design creative wellbeing services in a client- and participant-oriented way.

Content

The course covers the core competences of creative wellbeing as a profession and the key themes and concepts of creative wellbeing.

The focus is on promoting well-being, inclusion and meaningful experiences through arts, culture, and creativity in an accessible way.

The studies will extend and deepen the professional and methodological competences related to current themes of creative wellbeing and multiprofessional working.

The content, methods, and practices of multi-professional cooperation in the social, health, arts and cultural fields will be strengthened as a means of promoting well-being and inclusion. Students working in different professional fields will develop their competences in creative wellbeing together in a multidisciplinary way.

The studies will provide both theoretical and practical tools for enabling creative wellbeing in different settings and service processes with different actors.

Content scheduling

During the course, the student deepens and develops his or her knowledge and skills as a professional in the field of creative wellbeing.

The course is built around different themes for the contact days.

The course operates in multiprofessional teams, where the student shares his or her skills. Some parts of the course can be implemented in English and integrated into RDI projects.

The themes of the course include:
- building the knowledge base, structures and operating environment for creative wellbeing
- development and background of the international field of arts & health
- multiprofessional collaboration, networking, sharing of one's own expertise
- accessibility
- ethics, values and quality of arts-based wellbeing activities and services
- the wellbeing effects and effectiveness of arts and culture
- planning of arts-based wellbeing services
- building the competencies of a professional working in the filed of creative wellbeing.

The aim of the course is to outline and develop the core competencies of creative wellbeing that are essential for the student, to create a common language and knowledge base between different professions and to encourage students to be an active part of the creative wellbeing development community.
