Objective
After completing the course, the student is able to:
- Describe the terminology of circular economy and sustainable development
- Describe products, services and technologies which can minimize negative environmental effects
- Apply circular economy, materials recycling, processing and usage in developing new services and products
- Take into account special characteristics of materials and production processes

If you are not able to participate the workshop, please inform in forehand. You will be given an extra task.
Student workload
1 credit requires in average 26,7 working hours.
5 credits = 133 hours.
The course consists of Pre-Task and a tailored Individual Task that will be presented during Workshop days. The Course also includes 2 Group Tasks: a Company assignment and a new idea for a RDI-Project.
Content scheduling
Different concepts of circular economy, biotechnology and cleantech. The emphasis of the conceps is on students' own fields of work and education.
The objectives of the course are:
- to activate the ability to recognize the possibilities of circular economy in own (working) environment
- create a new way of thinking that the implementation of circular economy requires.
The course consists of 2 compulsory workshop days.

All the tasks have to be returned in order to pass the course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is based on student's reports, presentations and active participation during workshops.
Group Tasks will be evaluated based on the quality of the reports as well as novelty and implementability of the ideas.
The Company will also give their evaluation of the Company assignment.
If report is returned late, its evaluation will be decreased by one number.

Tasks has not been returned. Student has not participated workshops.
