Tavoitteet

NURSING OF ACUTE AND INTENSIVE CARE PATIENTS 5 CR NAIC Objectives:The student shall be able to - master the determination, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment needs of patients in acute and intensive care. - have an understanding of the nature of acute and intensive care treatment and their operating environment - support the patient's and his or her family members' coping using various nursing methods. - observe the patient's vital functions and overall condition as well as draw conclusions on information received. - master the essential treatment methods required in acute and intensive care nursing, treatment-related technology and creating a safe treatment environment. - improve his or her competences in the drug and infusion treatment of an acute and intensive care patient - master the determination, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment needs of patients in specialist perioperative care. - improve his or her knowledge and skills in specialist nursing taking place in surgical operating units - master the essential treatment methods required in specialist nursing of perioperative patients, treatment-related technology and creating a safe treatment environment. - improve his or her competences in medicinal and infusion treatment of surgical patients - describe the emergency and critical care service and system as part of specialist health care, the tiered structure of emergency and critical care and the significance and interdependence of the different stages of the emergency and critical care pathway - use the Finnish Authority Radio Network (VIRVE) as a means of communication in emergency and critical care and emergency clinics and describe co-operation with the authorities from the perspective of emergency clinic and emergency and critical care work - master the key treatment methods required in emergency and critical and emergency nursing, treatment-related technology and creating a safe treatment environment. - interview and examine the patient in an emergency and critical care situation and emergency nursing, recognise needs of treatment in the acute stage, administer the necessary treatment, document and report it and assess the treatment process provided - request care instructions when needed - safely carry out medicinal treatment to an accident and emergency patient
