Content scheduling
Content:
- Implementation of the thesis plan in compliance with the required permits and agreements.
- A presentation provided for the client organization on the progress of the work and preliminary results, 5 ECTS.
Timing:
- The thesis implementation course is typically scheduled during the 3.semester of studies.
Objective
After completing the course, the student is able to:
· specify the knowledge base of the development project
· produce a written description of the progress of the development project so far
· evaluate the progress of the development project in relation to the plan (eg staying on schedule, progressing towards the goal, functionality of selected research and development methods, operation of the project organization)
Content
· A description of the progress of the development project so far, based on the structure (contents) of the final report (project progress assessment as part of the description)
· Presentation of the progress of the development project so far to the client/sponsor or in other agreed manner
Materials
National and international publications related to the thesis topic, as well as literature on development and research methods.

Pedagogic approaches and sustainable development
Socio-cultural learning concept as combined with fostering innovation. Learning and applied RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) activities are integrated with the development needs of working life. Sustainable development is taken into account as an integral part of the process.

Student workload
- Implementation of the thesis.
- Monitoring progress.
- Interim reporting during the implementation phase, with a focus on working-life relevance (5 ECTS): The target group is selected in accordance with the purpose of the thesis (typically a suitable forum provided by the client organization, such as a development day or a team meeting). The presentation shall be documented and informed to the supervisor as instructed in the learning environment.
After completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the knowledge base and methodological foundation of the thesis
- Implement the thesis according to the approved plan and report on its progress
- Evaluate the progress of the thesis in relation to the plan (e.g., adherence to the schedule, achievement of objectives, appropriateness of the selected research and/or development methods, and effectiveness of communication).
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Approved: The implementation of the thesis has progressed and the student has completed the assigned task, demonstrating the ability to present the progress of the thesis coherently and with a reflective, evaluative approach.
Failed: The implementation of the thesis has not progressed appropriately. The student has not presented the progress of the thesis coherently and with a reflective, evaluative approach.

Approved, guideline-compliant progress of the thesis implementation and interim reporting.
Further information
The implementation phase of the thesis can start only after the planning phase has been approved, the thesis agreement has been signed, and all nescessary permits and approvals have been obtained.
The student schedules individual supervision sessions with their assigned supervisor according to the instructions provided. The student agrees with the client organization on the mode of communication (e.g. email or TEAMS).
