Descriptions
The objective of the Degree Programme in Business Administration is to train multi-skilled professionals and developers for versatile tasks in business life and industry.
STRUCTURE OF THE STUDIES
In the basic studies, the student gets familiar with the basics of business and entrepreneurship. The studies also help to develop the communications and language skills necessary in the field, as well as team work, project work and networking skills
The professional studies deepen the student’s skills in the business operating environment and core skill areas.
In the advanced stage, the student specializes in the following skill paths:
• Marketing,
• Innovative Business and Entrepreneurship,
• Financial Management.
The studies are complemented by the thesis, where the students apply their previously learned knowledge and skills. The thesis can be a development or research project made on a working life commission. In addition to the growth of one’s own expertise, the purpose of the thesis is to benefit the organization.
PEDAGOGIC APPROACHES
Studying in our Business Administration Programme is student- centered and working-life oriented. The student takes responsibility and an active role in the learning process and the teacher’s role is to support him/her in reaching the objectives.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment scale is 1-5 or accepted/failed. Versatile aspects and methods are used in assessment. Peer assessment and self assessment are used in addition to assessment carried out by the teacher or the commissioner of a project. Assessment criteria of a course is given in the course implementation plan. Assessment may be based on exams, tasks, assignments or large projects. Sometimes the object of assessment may be the team, e.g. how well they managed a project together.
FURTHER STUDIES
Master level studies in universities and universities of applied sciences.
After the Bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences, it is also possible to continue in Master level degree programmes in foreign higher education institutions.
University of applied sciences offers opportunities for continuing education in specialisation studies, apprenticeship-type continuing education, and working life-based continuing education. If a student completes a Master’s degree in a university of applied sciences, they can receive an opportunity for further education in scientific or arts-related further studies in universities.
Objective
Koulutuksen tavoitteena on antaa työyhteisöissä tarvittavat perustiedot ja -taidot sekä valmiudet oman osaamisen jatkuvaan kehittämiseen. Tavoitteena on, että valmistuneella tradenomilla on laaja-alainen ammatillinen osaaminen sekä työelämässä tarvittavia taitoja kuten tiimityö- ja verkostoitumistaidot, luovuus ja aloitteellisuus. Tradenomilla on myös hyvät viestintä- ja vuorovaikutustaidot, hyvä kielitaito sekä edellytykset alan kehityksen seuraamiseen.
Osaamispolun opinnoissa voit hankkia syventävää osaamista.
Markkinoinnin osaamispolun opinnoissa perehdyt markkinoinnin toimintaympäristöihin ja opiskelet digitaalisen markkinoinnin hyödyntämistä yrityksissä. Saat kokemusta asiakasarvon luomisesta ja pääset mukaan aitoihin asiakasprojekteihin.
Taloushallinnon opinnoissa painottuvat sekä taloushallinnon velvoitteiden hoitaminen että yrityksen päätöksentekoa tukevien laskelmien laadinta. Kirjanpidon, verotuksen ja palkkahallinnon käytännön kysymyksiin perehdytään tilitoimisto-osuuskunta TradeTaseen aidoissa asiakastilanteissa. Opit hyödyntämään moderneja tietojärjestelmiä ja digitaalisen taloushallinnon välineitä.
Innovatiivisessa liiketoiminnassa ja yrittäjyydessä hankit laajan bisnesosaamisen projektien, osuuskuntatoiminnan, pop up -yrittäjyyden ja työelämäkohtaamisten avulla. Opiskelu tässä osaamispolussa tapahtuu Turun AMK:n BisnesAkatemiassa (https://bisnesakatemia.turkuamk.fi/). Opintojen aikana opit toimimaan sekä itsenäisesti ja yrittäjämäisesti että yhteistyössä verkostoja luoden. Opinnot valmentavat sinua työskentelemään vastuullisissa tehtävissä toisen palveluksessa tai itsenäisenä yrittäjänä.
Development
Liiketalouden koulutuksessa opiskelu on oppijakeskeistä ja työelämälähtöistä. Opettajan tehtävänä on olla oppimisen mahdollistaja ja valmentaja, joka auttaa itsenäistä opiskelijaa saavuttamaan ammatillisen tavoitteensa. Opiskelussa käytetään aktiivisia oppimismenetelmiä, jolloin opiskelija ottaa vastuun oppimisestaan ja osallistuu aktiivisesti työskentelyyn.
Opiskelu voi tapahtua erilaisissa oppimisympäristöissä; perinteisillä opintojaksoilla, opiskelijoiden osuuskunnissa, yritysprojekteissa, ammattikorkeakoulun projekteissa tai omassa yrityksessä. Opiskelijayrittäjät voivat saada tukea ja valmennusta BusinessClub-yhteisössä (https://businessclub.turkuamk.fi/)
Opiskelija voi laatia joustavasti HOPSin (Henkilökohtaisen oppimissuunnitelman) rakentamalla omaa oppimisen polkua tarjolla olevien opintojen pohjalta. Osaamispolun opintojen lisäksi opiskelija voi suunnata osaamisensa kehittymistä vapaasti valittavilla opinnoilla, projektiopinnoilla, opinnäytetyöllä ja harjoittelulla. Tuutoropettaja tai valmentaja auttaa opiskelijaa opintojen suunnittelussa. Opiskelija voi myös tehdä opintoja muissa korkeakouluissa Suomessa tai ulkomailla ja nämä opinnot voidaan sisällyttää osaksi Turun ammattikorkeakoulun tutkintoa.

Opiskelijalla on hyvät mahdollisuudet lähteä kansainväliseen opiskelijavaihtoon. Myös harjoittelun tekemistä ulkomailla tuetaan.
Further information
Arvioinnin kohteena on osaaminen ja sen kehittyminen. Arviointimenetelmiä ja -kriteereitä käytetään monipuolisesti ja arviointiin tuodaan eri näkökulmia. Opettajan tekemän arvioinnin lisäksi voidaan käyttää vertaisarviointia, itsearviointia tai esim. toimeksiantajan tekemää arviointia. Yhtenä arvioinnin tavoitteena on myös, että opiskelija oppii itse arvioimaan omaa osaamistaan ja kehittämään työskentelyään.
Kunkin opintojakson arviointiperusteet on kuvattu yleisellä tasolla opinto-oppaassa ja tarkemmin opintojakson toteutussuunnitelmassa.
Arviointi voidaan toteuttaa monella eri tavalla ja se voi perustua esim. tentteihin, tehtävien ja laajojen oppimistehtävien tekemiseen tai projekteihin. Projekteissa voidaan yksilöarvioinnin sijasta arvioida ryhmän yhdessä aikaansaamaa tuotosta, tiimityön onnistumista, aikataulun hallintaa tai innovatiivisuutta.
Opintojaksojen arvosana ilmoitetaan numerona 0-5 tai sanallisena arviona hyväksytty/hylätty. Tämän lisäksi opiskelija tai opiskelijatiimi saa usein myös suullista tai kirjallista palautetta, jonka avulla opiskelija oppii tuntemaan omia vahvuuksiaan ja kehittämiskohteitaan.
