Objective
After completing the course, the student is able to:
· describe the premises, requirements and prerequisites of the organisation where the development project is carried out
· implement data retrieval systematically in Finnish and international databases
· write a theoretical framework for development project · state aim(s), purpose(s), research tasks and final outcome of the development project
· define development and evaluations methodology and describe research methods used in project implementation
· write realisable proposal for development project and research proposal when required
· describe one’s own role as an expert and project manager in development project
· discuss issues related to ethics and reliability
· evaluate and anticipate risks of development project

Student workload
The implementation of the thesis and the monitoring and reporting of the progress in this work. The interim report during the implementation phase is working life oriented. The target audience can be i.e. the steering group of the thesis.
The format of the presentation is not defined. The teacher should be notified about the presentation according to the instructions given by the teacher and as described in the online learning environment.

Approved: The thesis implementation has progressed. The student has completed the assigned task, demonstrating the ability to describe and reflect the progress of the thesis.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:
- describe the theoretical and methodological foundations of the thesis
- carry out the thesis plan and report related progress
- evaluate the progress of the thesis in relation to the plan (such as staying on schedule, achieving objectives, suitability of chosen RDI methods and communication)
