The student selects 1-2 circus disciplines and studies these techniques intensively from 2nd nd year to 4th year. Studies are carried out in small-group teaching, they include practical exercises, assignments and demonstrations.

The student draws up a plan for his thesis. The student formulates a key investigative question and justifies own arguments both verbally and in writing. The student presents their research idea or an idea of a functional or artistic or pedagogic project in seminars and acts as an opponent of the research idea/ plan and text of fellow students. Students complete an online course in information retrieval. The student works on the thesis and presents its progress and the final thesis in seminars.

Sirkuksen tekniikkaopintojen rinnalle rakentuva opintokokonaisuus, mikä kehittää sirkusopiskelijoiden kasvua luovuuteen sekä pedagogiseen ajatteluun ja kyvykkyyteen.
Jaksolla opiskellaan eri sirkuslajien terminologiaa ja metodiikkaa eri näkökulmista. Opiskelija pystyy soveltamaan oppimaansa sirkuksen perusopetuksen yleiseen ja laajaan oppimäärään. Jaksolla opitaan luomaan ja analysoimaan sirkuksen liikemateriaalia eri ikäisille ja –tasoisille oppilaille.
