Content scheduling

During the course, students will learn about digital photography, image processing and the basics of post-production. During the course, students will experiment and explore the possibilities offered by digital methods in their own artistic work, as well as learn about the specific issues related to the photographing of artworks, both in terms of camera technology and lighting. During the course, students will design a portfolio and learn how to update it.

The course is divided into two parts:
In the intensive week (week 40 Tue 1 Oct - Fri 4 Oct), students will learn how to use a digital camera and lighting in repro photographing their artwork.
On Tuesdays in weeks 43-47 we focus on post-production (Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, CameraRaw and Photoshop) and the basics of layout work (InDesign).

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is assessed numerically from 1 to 5
The course is assessment bases on attendance and completion of assignments:
- use of camera and photography impact on the grade 33%.
- Image processing 33%.
- Graphing layout work: 33 %.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

Absent more than 20%.
Assignments not returned.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student has participated in the interactions and completed the tasks successfully.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student has participated in interaction situations and has shown that he/she has mastered the main points covered in the course and is able to apply them in his/her own work.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has participated actively and with consideration for others in interaction situations and has shown excellent mastery of the topics covered in the course and is able to apply them in his/her own work. The student is able to present the results of his/her work in a well-founded way.
