Objective
After completing the course, the student is able to
- tell about Turku University of Applied Sciences as a study community
- tell what and how you study in your own field
- identify issues affecting study ability and related practices (guidance and counselling services, study social issues, health care, student union TUO)
- describe the content and structure of the learning plan as the starting point for their PSP
- introduce their study groups
Content
During the course, students orient themselves to university of applied sciences studies by getting to know their own study group and Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) as a community. The course familiarises students with the learning plan, learning environments and study tools of the TUAS and especially media education, and goes through the special characteristics of higher education studies and media education. It is essential that the student understands the importance of independent work, time management and cooperation skills in UAS studies.
