- be familiar with the most common manufacturing technologies
- understand dependency between automation hierarchy and industrial production management
- know the key functions and structures of DCS- and SCADA-systems
- be able to make design of industrial automation system for different processes
- know the key features of automation system related software
- understand maintenance practices of automation systems
