Objective
After completing this study unit, the student:
-	is able to describe the technical features and systems used in electric and hybrid 
        vehicles.
-	is able to describe the different subsystems and functions.
-	understands the possible safety issues caused from high voltage circuitry.
-	knows the benefits and limitations of electrified powertrains compared to ICE vehicles.
-	is familiar with the factors related to the environmental benefits of electric and hybrid 
        vehicles.
-	is familiar with the charging concepts and procedures of electric and hybrid vehicles.
-	is able to estimate charging time of different charging concepts under different conditions
-	understands the influence of different charging procedures on battery service life
-	is able to estimate the electric driving range (autonomy) under different conditions

-	Technical implementation principles of electric and hybrid vehicles
-	Different subtypes of electric motors
-	Battery technology, different battery chemistries
-	Principles of motor management systems, power electronics
-	Electrical safety of high voltage systems
-	Benefits and limitations of electrified powertrains compared to ICE vehicles
-	Environmental benefits and risks of electrified vehicles
-	Different charging concepts and procedures, charging time
-	Influence of different charging procedures on battery service life
-	Factors influencing driving range, driving range estimation under different conditions
