Koulutuksen tavoite
Konetekniikan koulutus antaa sinulle vahvan teknisen perusosaamisen, jota voit soveltaa monissa työtehtävissä teknologiateollisuudessa. Opinnoissasi painottuvat itsenäinen ote ja monipuolisuus. Pääpaino on käytännönläheisessä opetuksessa, johon liittyvät monipuoliset laboratoriotyöt ja yrityslähtöiset tutkimus- ja kehitysprojektit. Valmistumisesi jälkeen tyypillisiä toimenkuvia ovat mm. asiantuntija-, suunnittelu-, kehitys-, käyttö-, myynti-, koulutus-, laadunvarmistus- tutkimus- ja esimiestehtävät teknologiateollisuudessa. Valmistuttuasi omaat valmiuksia myös oman yrityksen perustamiseen.
Koulutuksen rakenne ja sisältö
Perusopinnoissa saat koneinsinöörin ammatissa tarvittavan matemaattisluonnontieteellisen perustan, koneteknisen perusosaamisen sekä kieli-, talous- ja vuorovaikutustaidot. Ammattiopinnoissa perehdyt valitsemiisi tekniikan osa-alueisiin ja teollisuuden eri toimialoihin.
Konetekniikan opinnoissa painotetaan käytännönläheisyyttä, teoriaosaamista unohtamatta. Ammattiopinnot toteutetaan monimuotoisesti mm. projektitöissä yhteistyössä alueen elinkeinoelämän kanssa. Käytettävissä olevat tilat ja laitteet tarjoavat modernin ja todellisen oppimisympäristön, jossa tukenasi ovat kokeneet opettajat ja henkilökunta.
Voit opiskella koneteknistä alaa myös kansainvälisesti. Kattava yhteistyökorkeakouluverkostomme tarjoaa sinulle erinomaisen mahdollisuuden hankkia kansainvälistä osaamista, josta on hyötyä valmistuttuasi.
Suuntautumiset, erikoisalat ja pätevyydet
Kone- ja tuotantotekniikassa opiskelija voi suunnata opintojaan valitsemalla moduuleja seuraavilta kone- ja meritekniikan osaamisalueilta :

Opinnäytetyön kuvaus
Konetekniikan koulutukseen liittyy oleellisesti opinnäytetyö, jossa pääset soveltamaan oppimiasi tietoja ja taitoja. Se on usein käytännön ongelmien ratkaisua ja toimii siltana sijoituttaessa työelämään. Opinnäytetyössä korostuu opiskelijan itsenäinen ote ja valmius suoriutua insinööritason tehtävistä. Uramahdollisuudet
Konetekniikan insinöörit ovat erittäin haluttuja työmarkkinoilla. Koulutuksen monipuoliset perusopinnot ja suuntautumiset mahdollistavat laajan sijoittautumisen elinkeinoelämään. Tyypilliset työtehtävät löytyvät insinööritoimistoista, sekä tuotannon ja teknisen kaupan tehtävistä. Kokemuksen myötä uramahdollisuudet monipuolistuvat vaativiin asiantuntijatehtäviin sekä esimies- ja johtotehtäviin.

Jatko-opintomahdollisuudet
Konetekniikan insinööritutkinto (AMK) antaa vahvan perusvalmiuden insinöörin ammattiin. Voit myöhemmin syventää osaamistasi Turun ammattikorkeakoulussa suorittamalla ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulututkinnon (YAMK). Sinulla tulee olla perustutkinnon jälkeen kolmen vuoden työkokemus asianomaiselta alalta. Työkokemukseksi voidaan hyväksyä myös aiemmin suoritetun opistoasteen tai ammatillisen korkea-asteen tutkinnon jälkeinen, korkeakoulututkintoa edeltävä työkokemus, jotta voit hakea YAMK koulutuksiin. Tarjolla on teknologiaosaamisen johtaminen, ympäristöteknologian ja meritekniikan YAMK koulutus.
Diplomi-insinööriksi tähtääville tarjotaan Turun ammattikorkeakoulun ja teknillisten yliopistojen yhteistyönä suunniteltuja opintopolkuja, mikä mahdollistaa DI-tutkinnon suorittamisen nopeasti ja joustavasti heti AMK-tutkinnon jälkeen.
