Objective

The student gets acquainted with basic chemical thermodynamics and chemical kinetics. The student can solve mathematical problems concerning physical chemistry. The student can describe oxidation-reduction reactions as well as the electrochemical systems connected to electrochemical cells and corrosion.
The student knows the nomenclature, structures and properties of organic compounds. The student can describe isomerism, stereochemistry and typical reactions of various functional compounds. The student knows the most common polymers and their applications.
