After passing the course the student can explain the basic principles of computer system name the components of operating systems explain the basic principles of operating systems explain why there are different operating systems in different devices install and update an operating system use an operating system both by command -line and by GUI take care of user and file security configure an operating system explain the basic principles of virtualization create, manage and use virtual machines understand mobile operating systems
