5 op
Objective
The aim is to provide the basics for structural physics design of structures, researching and a functional and healthy realization. The course aims to help to understand the physical and chemical phenomena of construction. The course includes the Ministry of Environment’s Finnish Building Regulations category A requirement class syllabus, which is enshrined in the Act as 3 credits.
Content
The theory deals with heat, moisture, acoustics, indoor air quality, currents, gases and radiation and the operation of structures. With laboratory exercises, the students will resolve the practical observation, theory and functioning of the structures.
In the chemistry part, the aim is to gain an understanding of metal and concrete corrosion, the operation of paint and varnishes, mold essence, the structure and behaviour of different plastics chemicals.
