Content

IPMA Level D certification demonstrates basic project management knowledge and a broad understanding of the field without requiring practical work experience. The certification covers technical, behavioral, and contextual skills. Those who have completed the certification demonstrate their understanding of key areas of project management – such as scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management – by passing a multiple-choice exam based on the IPMA International Competence Baseline (ICB) framework.

The level is known as Certified Project Management Associate (CPMA) and is particularly suitable for people who are new to project management or want to strengthen their basic skills.
