Objective

The aim of the course is to develop the students’ field-specific English language and communication skills to a level where they can communicate in demanding spoken and written communicative situations encountered in working life and society. The students will become confident, fluent users of English in various contexts where they need to interact and present their views as a business professional.Upon completing the course, the students aim to possess the ability to communicate at level C1 according to European Framework of Reference for Languages, which states that at C1-level students should be able to produce detailed texts with appropriate style, express oneself flexibly and without effort, integrate and develop themes, understand explicit and implied messages, and read specialized and complex texts.

Presenting specialised information both orally and in writing with communication tools used in working life.
Writing field-specific texts with specialised vocabulary to fit working life requirements.
Communicating as a professional in career orientation situations.
Utilising effective discussion skills in meetings, negotiations or customer-facing situations.
Using effective language and communication tools and techniques in cultural contexts
