Objective

The student knows the cooling process and is able to computationally examine the hardware sizing. He/she also knows how to choose a suitable refrigerant and is familiar with the piping and dimensioning of the components criteria. As part of the cooling process management, he/she is able to calculate the sub-cooling heat exchanger temperature differences, as well as the fluid suction’s and discharge superheat’s effects on the process and its energy economy.
