Objective
After completing the course, the student is able to:
- Understand the fundamental principles of digital signal processing and their practical applications.
- Implement basic signal processing functions, such as filtering, on digitized signals and data.
- Analyze signals in both the time and frequency domains using appropriate tools and techniques.
Content
- time and frequency domain DSP tools, analyses and interpretation
- filtering of signals, for example noise reduction
- windowing techniques
- convolution and correlation
- practical implementation of DSP functions on hardware
Qualifications
- Soveltava matematiikka (Applied mathematics) course or equivalent knowledge
- Sensors and Signal Conditioning course or equivalent knowledge
