Objective

BASIC LEVEL EMERGENCY CARE 7 crObjectives:The student shall be able to- use the knowledge base preparing them for emergency care in analysing the care needs of different people, and learn to find the relevant knowledge applicable to each nursing situation- rehearse their skills in meeting the patient and in creating a respectful care relationship- apply principles which are essential to nursing and nursing methods used in basic level emergency care in the planning and implementation of patient care, and can assess the basis of their activities - safely use equipment used for the treatment, transfer and examination of patients- guide the patient and their kin in the promotion of health and in the care of illnesses- find ethically qualified solutions in different nursing situations - understand the nurse’s and the emergency care nurse’s responsibility in the prevention of infections in emergency care and know how to work aseptically in different nursing situations - increase their basic level skills in medication (medication passport)- safely implement medication according to a physician’s instructions - monitor the effect of medication and its efficacy - document emergency care patient information
