Objectives:

The student shall

- practise key examination and treatment procedures in sexual and reproductive care, the correct and safe use of the required instruments and equipment and how to utilise examination results in care and monitoring of care.

- be able to support and help a parturient women in urgent or critical parturition without assistance from doctor of midwife.

- practise key examination and treatment procedures in the treatment of children and adolescents, the correct and safe use of the required instruments and equipment and how to utilise examination results in care and monitoring of care.

- be able to monitor a child and an adolescent and individually plan, implement and evaluate the child's and adolescent's care.

- guide a child/adolescent and his or her family in health promotion and caring for the changes to his or her health

Basic gynaecological examination

Taking a cervical smear sample (Pap screening)

Assisting in an urgent or emergency parturition

Recording the nursing processes
