ADVANCED LEVEL EMERGENCY CARE 8 cr HTHA Students willGain further proficiency in determining the need for, planning, administering and evaluating specialised, demanding emergency careLearn to support and provide guidance to patients and their family membersDeepen their ability to interact professionally and engage in a care relationship with people of different ages and from different cultural backgroundsLearn to make decisions requiring emergency care expertise in cooperation with the patient and other professional groups, as well as to support the patient’s resources to promote the patient’s healthKnow how to assess, under supervision, the patient’s general condition, make a preliminary diagnosis, and plan the treatment and location for further treatmentMaster the CRM approach and know how to follow it in emergency care teamsUnderstand the ethics and fundamental values of emergency care and base their actions on current knowledgeDeepen their pharmacotherapy competence in different fields of emergency care (medication passport)Master the systematic and appropriate documentation and reporting of patient information (ISBAR) in different contextsLearn to communicate with emergency care personnel and other professionals (incl.
