Internal medicine and Surgical Nursing 1 8 cr SIKI1
Objectives
Students will
- Learn to plan, administer and evaluate individual patient care and to explain their actions
- Learn to identify the changes that internal medicine or surgically treated illnesses and injuries cause to patients and their family members
- Learn to apply internal medicine and surgical treatment methods in individual cases
- Know how to perform ethically in different care situations and work communities
- Learn to provide personal guidance to patients and their family members in promoting health and treating illness and in rehabilitation
- Understand the responsibility of nurses in caring for internal medicine and surgically treated patients
- Learn to promote occupational and patient safety in their work
- Know how to use aseptic techniques in different treatment situations
- Gain proficiency in pharmacotherapy related to the care of internal medicine and surgical patients (medication passport)
- Learn to document information about the care of internal medicine and surgical patients

Kokonaistuntimäärä on 203h / sisältäen perehdytystunti 2h, palautetunti 2h, Jobiilivaraus, CV päivitys 2h ja loput tunnit (197h) harjoittelua sovitussa harjoittelupaikassa.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Asiakaslähtöinen, eettinen ja ammatillinen osaaminen, näyttöön perustuva kliininen osaaminen, opetus ja ohjausosaaminen, yhteistyöosaaminen sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon toimintaympäristöissä ja hoitotyön kehittäminen arvioinnin kohteina.
Hyväksytty suoritus edellyttää:
Ennen jakson alkua
CV:n laatiminen ja pitäminen aktiivisena harjoittelujakson loppuun asti, perehdytystunnille osallistuminen.
Toiminta Optimassa ohjeiden mukaan.
Lääkehoidon perusteiden lääkelaskukoe on oltava hyväksytysti suoritettuna.
Sisätautipotilaan / kirurgisen potilaan hoitotyön (riippuen harjoittelupaikasta) teoriaopinnot täytyy olla suoritettuina.
