Objective
After completing the course the student can:
- read optical characteristics
- recognise physical possibilities and limitations
- use measuring equipment
- do suitable measuring arrangement for a problem and complete the measurements
- estimate uncertainty of measurements and determine uncertainty for the results in simple cases
- make and analyse graphical presentations
- keep a laboratory notebook
- report results orally and in writing
- work safely at a laboratory
- work safely with different kinds of radioactive radiation
- handle waste developed in laboratory

Evaluation methods and criteria
Opintojakso arvioidaan numeerisesti 0-5 kerättyjen pisteiden avulla. Pisteitä saa seuraavista tehtävistä:
- Ennakkotehtävät 4 työkerralle (itsenäiset, á 5 p = 20 p yhteensä)
- 1. ja 4. kerrasta mittauspöytäkirjat (ryhmässä, á 5 p = 10 p yhteensä)
- 2. ja 3. kerrasta mittauspöytäkirjat + raportit (ryhmässä, á 5+10 p = 30 p yhteensä)
- Välitehtävinä nettidemot + oppimispäiväkirja (3 kpl, itsenäiset, á 10 p = 30 p yhteensä)
- Lopputehtävänä mallikoe + oppimispäiväkirja (itsenäinen, 10 p)
Labratöihin liittyvien mittauspöytäkirjojen sekä loppukokeen palautus ovat kaikille pakolliset.
