Objective
The student is able to explain the means and goals of product development from the idea to the market. The student can design a product development project based on the defined needs and targets (for example an assignment from a company) and execute the project by professional and responsible manners. The student is able to document and present the process and the results of the project.
Content
Product development models and processes:
- From physical products to virtual products
Project management and the product development project planning and management:
- from the need finding, preparing, planning, goal setting and organizing to the executing, change management, reporting and follow-up
- Project communication
- Prototyping in product development
Working is highly independent and the students are responsible of searching information and making the presentations.
