Kurssilla käsitellään perusasioita liittyen markkinointiin, asiakaslähtöinen yritystoimintaan ja yrittäjyyteen. Opiskellan eri työkaluja ja teorioita sekä aihepiiriin keskeisiä käistteitä.
Objective
The student can describe the requirements for a successful business. The student can communicate goals of a business to various interest groups of a business. The student is able to establish a marketing plan to reach customers. The student can describe a business idea.

Evidence from action. No exams. The course is accomplished by returning valid assignments on time and being active during the lectures. No up-grading possibility. Do your best effort at once, the only way to up-grade is to come to the course again.

Evidence from action. Assignments. Detailed instructions at the first lecture. Compulsory participation at the first lecture.

The student has not been active in group work and has not been present in the lectures. There are fundamental flaws in know-how, activity and assignments. Or deadlines are missed.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student is able to use business terms and theories when she/he is explaining his/her findings and observations. Can describe, classify and list. The output describes the phenomena, but does not contain deliberation or insights. The use of tools is limited. Amount of references narrow.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student understands the big picture and uses theories to describe it. Shows ability to apply some basic principles and is able to make combinations. Uses acquired materials. The usage of tools is wide and the amount of references as well. Presentation of high quality. Self and peer feedback is constructive, analytical and reflective ( if used).
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Even better and more high quality results than in the grade 3 and 4.
