Students will
Students will learn to determine the need for demanding special care of internal medicine/surgical patients, to plan, administer and evaluate such care, as well as to support and provide guidance for patients and their family members.
Students will gain proficiency in the main treatment methods of internal medicine and surgical patients, treatment-related technology and the creation of a safe care environment.
Students will master the main nursing treatment methods, treatment-related technology and the creation of a safe care environment.
Students will enhance their competence in demanding pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy administered to internal medicine and surgical patients.
Students will learn to treat patients suffering from a grave illness or trauma and their family members.
Students will learn to provide patient guidance related to surgical operations and to plan the support and rehabilitation of patients facing permanent changes in body image and functional capacity.
Students will know how to determine the need for, to plan, administer and evaluate the care of patients in demanding perioperative care
Students will enhance their skills and knowledge in demanding nursing of patients in surgical units

Tenttimateriaali sivuja on kirjasta 108, käyttäen kaavaa: 15h/ 100 sivua keskivaikeaa tekstiä 16 h.
Oppiportin verkkokurssit:
EKG hitaat rytmihäiriöt 30 min
EKG nopeat rytmihäiriöt 40 min
EKG ja iskemia 30 min
TB perusteet 150 min
TB hoito ja tartunnanjäljitys 90 min
Yhteensä: 5 tuntia 40 min
Case tehtävä noin 500 sanaa, menee arviolta 5 h (kaavalla 120 sanaa/h).
Ryhmätyönä potilasohjausmateriaalin tekeminen ja esityksen harjoittelu vaatii ensin lukemista max. 100 sivua eli 15 h, sitten kirjoitusta noin 360 sanaa eli 3 tuntia ja esityksen harjoittelu 2 tuntia, opiskelijan työnä 20 tuntia, josta puolet SISYä ja puolet KISYä
PESY (perioperatiivinen) 6 kontaktituntia ja 1 tehtävä:
Tehtävänä on selvittää vaativien kirurgisten toimenpiteiden ja anestesioiden erityispiirteitä. Ryhmä valitsee yhden vaativan leikkauksen alla olevasta luettelosta, laatii siitä lyhyen esityksen ja etsii aiheeseen liittyvän videon. Esitys videolinkkeineen liitetään It'sin palautuslaatikkoon kommentoitavaksi.
1. Korvan, nenän ja kurkun toimenpiteet (kasvomurtuma, vaativa leukatoimenpide)
2. Neurokirurgiset toimenpiteet (kraniotomia, aivokasvainleikkaus, aivovaltimoaneurysman leikkaus)
3. Sydän-, verisuoni- ja keuhkokirurgia (sydäntamponaatio, vatsa-aortan korjausleikkaus tai sen repeämän päivystysleikkaus, avoin keuhkoleikkaus, keuhkonpoistoleikkaus)
4. Mahasuolikanavan toimenpiteet (laparotomia päivystysleikkauksena, lihavuusleikkaus)
5. Virtsaelinkirurgia (virtsarakon poisto, munuaisen toimenpiteet)
6. Raskaus, synnytys ja naistentautien toimenpiteet: hätäkeisarileikkaus
7. Tuki- ja liikuntaelinten kirurgia
8. Palovammakirurgia
9. Elinsiirto
10. Silmäkirurgia
11. Lapsipotilas ja anestesian erityispiirteet
Jokainen pienryhmä perehtyy kolmeen esitykseen videoineen ja kommentoi niitä It'sin keskustelualueella.
PESY: kontaktitunteja 6h ja itsenäinen opiskelu 21h.
