Objective
After the course the student
- understands the causes and risks of urban flooding
- can see the links between stormwater management solutions, ecosystem services and urban planning
- knows what kind of technical solutions are used in integrated stormwater management and understands how they work
- can evaluate the suitability of different stormwater management options in different basic situations and knows the basics of technical planning

Introduction to sustainable urban stormwater management concepts and it’s applicability in the Baltic Sea region

Teaching methods
The learning in the course happens through studying course materials provided in the Its learning -platform (videos, texts and pictures, lectures), through observing and learning stormwater management solutions in real environment and through working on the course assignments.
