Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to:
- Design a large scale Renewable Energy project (Solar Photovoltaic or Wind Power)
- Evaluate project sustainability and requirements for environmental impact assessment
- Understand Social Acceptance aspects
- Evaluate energy yield prediction calculations
- Evaluate quality assurance requirements and practices

Content

Large commercial and utility scale renewable energy power plants are becoming the most economical way to generate sustainable energy. In Nordic countries the new type of renewable electrical energy plants are Wind Power and Solar Photovoltaic. Large scale renewable electricity power plant represent a complex projects to be realized. The Renewable Energy Project Development course aims at giving insights about aspects beyond technology, linked to the practical realization of renewable energy projects, from economy, social issues and sustainability.
