- stereotypes
- cultural shock
- customs in leisure time and working life
- higher education system, study life
- basic of German/Finnish: greetings, introducing yourself, everyday situations (Small talk, travelling, restaurant and shopping). Email and phone phrases.

Objective

After the course, the student has knowledge on the target country (Germany, Finland), its society, higher education system, customs and working life. The student understands the characteristics of the target country culture and recognises the factors which affect the intercultural communication.The student can adjust his/her communication according to the target country culture.
The student knows the basics of German/Finnish language and is able to use it in different everyday occasions.
