Objective
Student understands the principles of the most important molecular biology methods as well as the basics and the most important applications of recombinant DNA technology and knows the importance of the applications in health promotion and the cause of diseases.
Student knows the basic concepts of genetics and is familiar with genetics research methods in clinical applications of genetics. The student knows the expression of DNA and RNA differences, the formation of chromosomes and genetic inheritance as well as the most common types of mutations.

- Recombinant DNA technology
- Isolation of DNA and RNA and factors affecting its isolation
- Hereditary distress factors and underlying factors
- The main methods of gene and chromosome research
- VNTR analysis, deletion, insertion, point mutation (SNP), duplication, chromosome studies, G-lanes, FISH technique, cell culture
- Cancer genetics and research methods
