Objective

After the study unit the student will:
• Know how to apply customer-driven and resource-oriented teaching and counselling methods in the promotion of health and well-being among individuals, groups and communities
• Know how to use health care technology to promote health and well-being
• Know how to plan, provide and assess health counselling and programmes of health promotion
• Be familiar with the national vaccination programme of adults and the vaccination of different demographic groups
• Know how to administer vaccines safely and correctly
• Understand the role and professional status of a public health nurse in a multiprofessional operational environment of maternity care
• Understand the principles of culturally sensitive care and the methods of the culturally sensitive approach in nursing
