Objective
The students will be able to
• organize their work in a professional manner
• apply different modes of expression and knowledge of materials in printmaking
• obtain information on phenomena and artists in the field of printmaking that supports improving their personal expression.
• develop and critically analyse their own visual expression
• assess and allocate a right amount of time for artistic work.
Content
On this course, the students will expand their knowledge of printmaking methods and practices and the use of tools and materials. The students will also be introduced to the expressive potential of Intaglio Printing methods. The students will learn how to plan their expression and organize their work.

during four weeks period students show they master professional working skills
Content scheduling
Basics of Intaglioprinting methods and materials;
On the study module the knowledge of methods and practical approach are deepened as well as the mastering of tools and materials. Intaglio Printing methods, professional working process and their prospect to visual expression are on focus. One practices planning one’s own visual expression and skills of organizing the working process.
Further information
student is required to get protecting garment, gloves and intaglioprinting papers.
copper is normally ordered with the group as a joint order from Tempera, Helsinki.

Assessment methods and criteria
In the end of the course there will be final talk with the whole team where students by talk and prints show their mastery to the subject. Evaluation is emphasized with the student´s presence in teaching, working process and it's target/object and professional working skills.
