Objective

Student
- knows the basics of the anaplastology science and work of anaplastologist
- understands the reasons for facial body differences caused by trauma, ablation surgery, or congenital defect
- is familiar with materials used for facial prosthesis and patient specific implants (silicone etc.)
- knows principles of fabrication of patient-specific bone replacing and repair implants
- knows the basics of the hearing devices

Content

- Anaplastology
- Nasal (nose), ocular and orbital (eye and eyelids), auricular (ear) and skull implants are presented.
- Materials for these prostheses are reviewed (silicones, titanium and bioactive glass, biostable and bioresorbable polymers and composites)
