Objective

The student learns how to organize materials management in a company. The student will also get to know how to manage inventories and control the inventory related costs. The student will know which replenishment methods should be applied in different environments. He/she will learn how to calculate the inventory related costs and replenishment parameters.

Student must get an average of  grade 1  in total assignments (all 6) to pass this course.
Evaluation will be calculated as follow: All return assignments together and divided in 6.  
Exam

In exam student must get at least number 1 on the exam, to pass this course.
A passed exam number can not be do again.

Module group review 1:
• Presentation missing or very short presentation (less than 5 min)
• PowerPoint has less than 4 pages, within very little information
• Plagiarism check is OK.
• Both written sources and oral sources, e.g., personal interviews, are marked as a source in the text and in the reference list.
• Students does not offer own examples and comments at all.
• Grade 1: 7-8 questions were answered in good manner.
Assignment review 1:
Text contains only very few of required elements, and text is not written in right order.
Answers are mostly short. No Article / Thesis example. No own example, comments or ideas.
All sources are indicated in the text (Part 1&2) and in the list of sources according to Turku AMK instructions.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

passed grade on the exam
Module group review 2-3:
• The PowerPoint demonstrates good creativity in the student's own writing style.
• Presentation was clearly articulated, well-structured, and easy to listen, easy to read and easily understandable.
• Students offers some own examples and comments.
• Uncertain performance, the presentation was pretty much straight from a PowerPoint.
• Presentation time is short, less than 14 min.
• Both written sources and oral sources, e.g. personal interviews, are marked as a source in the text and in the reference list.
• Plagiarism check is OK.
• Grade 3: 11-13 questions were answered. PowerPoint 6-7 pages, with good information.
• Grade 2: 9-10 questions were answered. PowerPoint 6-7 pages, with little information.
Assignment review 3:
• The Assignment contains most of the required things, in student's own words. Some own examples and comments. The English written article or thesis is a good example. Assignment Part 2: students' text in is containing good idea, but some accuracy is missing.

• Presentation was clearly articulated, well-structured, and easy to listen, easy to read and easily understandable.
• Students provides a real depth information based on real interviews of the Company.
• Natural performance in the presentation, no straight reading from PowerPoint!
• Students offers multiple outstanding examples, identifies strengths, presenting significant excellent job.
• Plagiarism check is OK.
• Both written sources, and oral sources, e.g., personal interviews, are marked as a source in the text and in the reference list.
• Grade 5: 17 or more questions were answered. PowerPoint has more than 11 pages, with excellent information. Presentation time more than 15 min, no more than 20 min.
• Grade 4: 14-16 questions were answered. PowerPoint has more than 9 pages, with excellent information
