Objective

After completing the course, the student will be able to
- get free from music tied to a sheet music picture
- know how to play simple accompaniments and making a soloist easy piano arrangement
- apply stylistic accompaniment models in domestic dance and singing music and African American music
- identify chords and chord sequences in different musical genres

Content

- accompanying with the letter markings of chords in different musical styles
- prima vista playing and transcribing
- chording of melodies
- making easy instrumental arrangements
- getting to know improvisation
This course follows the National Level and Nomination Recommendation of the Association for Free Accompaniment Teachers.

Competence objectives of the course
After completing the course, the student will be able to
- free yourself from playing tied to a musical score
- masters playing simple accompaniments and making an easy solo piano arrangement
- apply stylistic accompaniment models in domestic dance and singing music as well as in African-American music
- recognize chords and chord sequences in different keys

Face-to-face teaching in small groups (3 students) that meet weekly during the academic year, room A214.
